It's going offline on September 6, so you have three days to "enjoy" Concord. They're offering refunds for anyone who bought it. The store page is already down.

I've only done three challenges in August... however, these are the last three of the main challenge I have to do.

I still want to do the bonus challenges, but I am technically done with the 2024 challenge.

09-1. A remake or remaster of a game - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019) - This is a remake of the Game Boy version.

10. A game with 6+ endings - Vampire Savior: The Lord if Vampire - This is also known outside of Japan as Darkstalkers 3. And if you know anything about fighting games, is that they have multiple characters, and sometimes each one of those characters has their own storyline to go through with their own endings. Especially so with something like Darkstalkers. I think there's 10 characters? So at least 10 endings.

44-2. A game that you have beaten before and are replaying - Lego DC Super-Villains - I beat this in 2019, before joining the site. I beat it again now.

I have mixed feelings about this. Don't you think it tends to trivialize a lot of things and makes the game a little too easy? Not that I'm a menuing addict :)

Absolutely not. Having played both the OG and the remake, I absolutely hated the inventory management in those GB games. My biggest complaint of those games was having to pause and switch items every single second I ran into a different kind of rock. That's not difficulty, that's just tedium. The remake fixes that and I absolutely love it for just that reason alone.

Also, if we're really comparing difficulty I would go with the remake. Unlike the GB versions, they made the fish boss function like an actual boss. I also struggled way more with the Armos mini boss in the remake for some reason.

Astro Bot is coming out at the start of next month, so I'll nominate Astro's Playroom, which is the free pack-in game that came with every PS5.

I beat the Game Boy version on the Zelda Game & Watch for the first time a few weeks ago and I really liked it! So I'm looking forward to trying the 2019 remake here soon.

33-2. A spin-off game - Metroid Prime Hunters - Metroid Prime is arguably a spin-off series... so Metroid Prime Hunters is a spin-off of that.

36. A game that heavily features either fire or ice - Atomic Punk 2 - This is literally a bomberman game under a different name. Imo the fire upgrade is an extremely important upgrade in the Bomberman games since it expands the explosion range. Also you light the fuses with fire, so it *is* kind of important.

Not sure if we're counting only the amount of written reviews or if including non-written ones as well, but I'll pick Boss Slayer. It's a flash game, even in the realm of flash games it's generally unknown. It's a great and short shmup that I loved playing.

I pick Link's Awakening.

I don't think it matters what version, they're all basically the same with a new dungeon in DX and some content in the 2019 version but if it does matter, then the 2019 version is what I pick.

I played the DLC, and tbh I kinda wish I hadn't spent $20 on it. Both were kinda boring overall, the Robot Factory DLC gives you a bunch of new weapons which are pretty fun and the boss was pretty clever. The oil rig DLC was kinda pointless. It's main gimmick is giving you water traversal mechanics which are kinda whatever honestly. I felt pretty bored with both of them though.

If you had to pick one DLC, go for the robot factory one. The oil rig DLC only really gives you one new weapon and it's pretty bad working only at close range.

I give the robot DLC a 5/10, the oil rig DLC a 4/10.

I've finished the game. Much of my criticism has not changed. The gameplay is still fun but with unfunny dialogue that grates me as time goes on. It's a 7/10 game for me. I might do the DLC, I'm kind of debating it in my mind. I suppose if I post here again, then the answer is yes.

Got a few things in the month of June. Including a PSVR and a figure.

I've played a few hours now. A rocky start learning the controls but I've gotten a lot better at getting around. The weapons are also pretty fun and creative. The dialogue is pretty annoying though. It reminds me a lot of MCU mixed with Rick & Morty humor. It was kinda funny at first and then I realized that's the whole game.

The first half of the month is me just focusing on Persona 5 Royal. I still beat a good amount of games in the latter half though.

It's been some time since I played it though, I might be mistaken.

I suppose you could interpret it either way. The game doesn't explicitly say whether they're lesbian or bi. My interpretation was that after spending time with her boyfriend/husband she realized she wasn't really into men after her negative experience with him being so controlling.

As for the pregnancy thing, lesbians can get a sperm donor or IVF. So it's not an impossibility.
