How does HLTB get profit?

I've been wondering how does HLTB get its money - but I don't see any ads! Nobody wants HLTB to end, so it needs money...

I'm sure the admin makes this website for fun or some other cool reason like that, instead of doing it for profit...Which is why we're not overloaded by ads.

I can't imagine the site being profitable at the moment. If it is, then good on admin! Early on it said this was a hobby to learn web development.

Well, I'm sure the admin isn't aiming for profit, but there's only so much you can do without money. The website is going to grow larger and larger, it would become impossible to maintain without a stable income.

At the moment, he's probably funding it as a hobby from his day job. That's usually how sites like this get started.

Yep, this is indeed a hobby and learning experience for me. The one ad on the bottom gets me about $15-20 a month, which basically goes to hosting services. I pay around $200 a year for domain and hosting service. I don't ever want intrusive ads. I have had 3 very kind people donate a little money, which is really amazing. I don't ever expect anything in return. You guys have been nothing but great as users.

Oh, so it's $16/month, which is very managable. That's great! Right now I'm having conflicts with my father so I don't feel comfortable enough to ask him to donate anything, but I'll do it ASAP! ;)
