I have talked about all of these games way too much over the internet. All that needs to be said is that Mass Effect 3 is my personal favorite game of all time and this series of games has changed my life in every way it could. Do I know why I like it so much? No. I know they all have their faults, I know their probably 8/10 maybe 9/10 games at their absolute best. But goddamn, has any other games made me feel as much as these have? Persona has gotten close but never got to this level. It just speaks to me on a level that's hard to explain. If you've never played them: Start with 2 and if you love it, go back and start from the beginning later down the line. Just always be sure to experience Mass Effect 3 with the two previous games under your belt. Mass Effect 3 specifically gets a bad wrap because of it's ending, still, to this day! But, if you take away that 1% of the game, you have an expereicne that delivers a satisfying conclusion in all other aspects. Combine that with the best gameplay and the best DLC to ever be released? (Citadel, yes it's pure fanservice but that's what 90% of DLCs should be) You have a great game, a game that too many judge simply from that 1%. The ending isn't the greatest, but it's about the journey, not the destination.
I will forever die on a hill defending 3 or any other game in the series, even 1 even though I don't care for it too much. The Normandy Crew will always have a place in my heart. And I hope someday they might be in yours as well.

Ever since I played the first game back in 2009, Mass Effect has been the bar against which I've judged all other RPGs, and I wouldn't be surprised if that remains true for the rest of my life. It has an epic story, amazing characters, and some damn fine gameplay. This is all that with a fresh coat of paint, and unlike most remasters, in this case you get three full games (plus a ton of largely excellent DLC) for the price of one.Look, if you played the trilogy back in 2007–2012, you already know if you should buy this, and you probably already have. If you didn't play the original games, though, and this seems like something you'd enjoy? Please do yourself a favor and pick this up. Mass Effect is—and I do not say this lightly—quite possibly the greatest gaming trilogy of all time, and it is not an experience to be missed.

Quite overrated in my opinion, may just not be my cup of tea. Story was pretty bland and predictable, gunfights felt stale. Perhaps the game just did not age well but the story was not the “space opera” I had hoped for.Updated 1 Month Ago

Great trilogy for me, ME1 and ME2 are peak but 3 has some few issues, still the best space RPG by far and the best bioware franchise peaking with Mass Effect 2 (the best bioware game)Updated 1.5 Months Ago

ME3 felt like I was playing as shepard whereas in 2 I felt like I could play as myself. There was a lot more freedom and options with the dialogue. I don't like how the end of the game disregards all of your options you've made previously and boils it down to 3 options (endings) you can choose. That said I did enjoy the series overall and if I don't think about the ending too much, I'll remember it fondly. There was a lot of pay offs from previous games that had been built up really well.Updated 1.5 Months Ago

It's a very solid trilogy that combines RPG + 3rd person shooting a la Gears of War. Story is interesting enough to pull the script forward, memorable characters and interesting powers.I wished I could have given it more points, but there are many moments that show the original games were rushed, especially the 3rd installment. I suffered bugs that threw me out of bounds when I bumped into another NPC that was moving, some enemies would disappear out of sight but not die, forcing you to restart from the beginning...
Overall, I would recommend it, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Updated 3.5 Months Ago

Getting to play the best narrative in video games (or perhaps of all time) in one place. Great updates to the games, shame about ME1 DLC and the cutting of some Miranda content ;).Jokes aside truly my favourite video game of all time.

An amazing package that is just so damn good. I loved this game years ago and loved revisiting it. The gameplay has been massively improved and the added DLC to all the games make is an even more valuable remake that it had any reason to be. A Galactic Odyssey Reborn: Mass Effect Legendary Edition ReviewMass Effect Legendary Edition is a stellar compilation that every fan of the series, myself included, should consider an essential addition to their collection. Packaging the original trilogy with remastered visuals, enhanced gameplay, and all the DLC content, this edition is a monumental tribute to one of the most beloved sci-fi RPG sagas in gaming history. With a 95% rating from me, it's clear this legendary edition has made an indelible mark, showcasing why Mass Effect's narrative depth, character development, and player-driven choices set it apart as a true masterpiece.
The visual upgrades breathe new life into the galaxy, making every planet, character, and spaceship more immersive and visually captivating than ever before. From the vibrant landscapes of Eden Prime to the haunting depths of the Omega Station, each environment has been painstakingly enhanced, inviting players to lose themselves in the vastness of the Mass Effect universe once again. The improvements to textures, lighting, and shaders not only honor the original aesthetic but elevate it to match contemporary standards, ensuring both new players and returning fans can experience these epic journeys in their best form.
But what truly makes Mass Effect Legendary Edition indispensable is not just its technical enhancements; it's the complete, seamless experience of Commander Shepard's saga. Having the entirety of Shepard's story, from the initial skirmishes with Saren to the climactic battle against the Reapers, along with all the side missions, romances, and moral dilemmas, creates a cohesive narrative arc that is unparalleled. The game's ability to carry over decisions from one installment to the next amplifies the weight of each choice, making the player's journey feel uniquely personal.
In summary, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is more than just a remaster; it's a lovingly crafted homage to a series that has defined a genre. It delivers not only on the nostalgia of returning players but also extends a welcoming hand to those who have yet to chart the stars with Commander Shepard. For fans of the series, like myself, this edition reaffirms why Mass Effect holds such a special place in our hearts, offering an immersive, engaging, and emotionally charged experience that stands the test of time. A true work of art, this legendary edition is indeed indispensable.

Absolute masterpiece.- ME1 was groundbreaking for it's time and layed the foundations
- ME2 had one of the most compelling storylines out there
- ME3 was innovative in its mechanics and very complete as a game
It's interesting to see the evolution of the franchise through each game.
Though unfortunately this type of quality games are gradually becoming extinct.

This is the definitive way to play the Mass Effect trilogy today. Everything is improved up to today's standards, includes all additional content, and is a extremely well put together collection. Absolute classic trilogy, retouched and upgraded lovingly. As a unit, it becomes by far my favorite game of all time, one of only a handful of games I replay the story of. I marked it as a replay because I had already played the games before in their original versions, but this was my first time through the remaster. I love it. I love it. I love it. Garrus, Liara, Tali, Miranda, Morridin, Grunt, and all our other companions are just so masterfully crafted and lovable. This game is not perfect, no game is, but its flaws never feel like they get in the way of or detract meaningfully from the experience.Updated 7.5 Months Ago

All three ME games were very fun, and I was happy to finally be able to hook up with Kaiden in ME3! The ending was a bit anticlimactic with all the walking-real-slow, but I am glad I played these all the way through. It was a very good story, and I would definitely play an ME4 (and plan to check out Andromeda one day too).Updated 9 Months Ago

The first Mass Effect seems a bit oudated in 2023. The main storyline is good, but the most of the side missions are repetitive and somewhat boring. Lots of useless running which just feels outright stupid. 7/10 for this one.The second game is a lot better with better characters and dialogue as well as now more fun side missions and side activities, too. Overall enjoyable and a good game. 8/10.
